Learn To Love was the fifth and final singe and video released from my current album of the same name. The song was released and the video premiered on Mon 31 July.

If I had to pick one song from the album. It would be this one. This is one of my rare vocal performances that I listen to as a listener rather than as the songwriter. I listen to it and I feel that I really believe the singer. I feel what they are saying. That’s always my simple aspiration as a singer: to deliver a song honestly and authentically and as I listener, pretty much all I care about from a singer is “Do I believe them?”. Do I believe what they re singing? Or rather do I believe that they mean it. This is of course subjective, I’ll never know for sure. But what I seek, as a listener, is to be moved by the song. If I were ever to compile a best of then this would have to be on the list along with songs like “Keys to Inner Peace”, “Love”,  “Live Before We Die” and  “Love is the Answer.”

This video wasn’t my first concept. And in fact it wasn’t the second concept either. More on that another time. But what happened in the end, true to my style is that one day I just decided to film a simple video myself. So what you see in this video is the first time that I have filmed all the footage as well as editing and directing the video. There’s a few shots including the train going past behind me that I’m pleased with – and it encourages me for future projects.

Compassion Road was the fourth release from my current album Learn To Love.  This is one of the songs that is most dear to me on the album and writing the song was a very moving experience as the song ‘came through’ to me. As the chorus and chords emerged there were tears as I was fortunate enough to be the beneficiary of this touching song coming through to me.

The video was the first time I had filmed footage of myself and it has a documentary style. It combines my documentary style footage in the verses and the richer wider shots by my friend and multi-time video Director Marcin Kovacs on the choruses. The end sequence is my favourite part.

Meditation Medication was the third release from my current album Learn to Love. It was released on June 9 2022 and premiered on YouTube that evening. This album has been the first album in which I directed the videos and this (at the time) was the most ambitious of my self directed videos as it combined studio footage and outdoor filming and I remember editing it of the Christmas holidays. It was quite a meditative process.

The Dance was the second release from my new album Learn To Love. The song was released on 10 November 2022 and the video premiered on YouTube on the same day. This song was fun to record and the video was great fun to perform.

Get ready… My new album Life Lines will be released on 10 November 2018 and will be accompanied by the YouTube release of the first video from the album Keys to Inner Peace –directed by myself. Here (above) is a very short teaser of the video and album.  Some things are worth the wait.

Rasheed Reimagined is exactly that: a new sound, a new take, a reimagining of an artist. It combines exciting six new songs with three thrilling remixes of old favourites. The whole album is produced by my great friend Marcin Kovacs whose work you will have seen through most of my previous music videos. The six new songs have been co-written with Marcin and the sound here is owes greatly to the great work of the producer.

The Future is Now is the second single and video from my new album Rasheed Re-imagined. The album and video are officially released here on RasheedMusic.com tomorrow (20 February 2017)  but I thought – since the song is called The Future is Now –  it might be cool to post the video for tomorrow’s video release right here today.

I very much hope you enjoy the video which was filmed around London’s South Bank last year (late summer if I recall rightly). The video was directed by Marcin Kovacs who also produced all the tracks on Rasheed Re-imagined.

The Future is Now is one of three Remixes on the album. The original version appeared on my last album Lease of Life and was produced by John Hamilton. Here we re-worked the song and I added a tiny bit of new re-worked vocals. It’s funny how life flows, as I listen back to this song I feel it’s apt for the times we are in where at one and there seems lots of change and uncertainty – and how also there is the key importance of being present, mindful and aware that tomorrow is partly a construct of the mind and partly a outcome of all that we have been – and all that we do today.
